130,000 tonnes cargo handled at KPT on Monday

KARACHI: Over 130,000 tonnes of cargo was handled at the Karachi Port Trust as at 7 am on Monday.

A total of 4,158 TEUs were handled and that included 2,445 TEUs of imports and 1,713 TEUs of export. A total of 3,190 containers were handled which included 2,583 loaded containers; 1,422 20-feet and 497 40-feet import containers and 477 20-feet and 187 40-feet export containers. 607 empty containers including 323 20-feet and 284 40-feet containers were also handled. A total of 130,676 tonnes of cargo was handled. This included 110,688 tonnes of import and 19,988 tonnes of export cargoes including 57,692 tonnes of containerized general cargo; 13,008 tonnes of bulk cargo ; 70,700 tonnes of dry cargo and 59,976 tonnes of liquid cargo.
