182nd BoD meeting: Govt committed to revitalise TIP, says minister

ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for IT Anusha Rahman, while chairing the 182nd Board of Directors meeting of Telephone Industries of Pakistan (TIP), has said that the government is committed to revitalise TIP.

The meeting was chaired by. Federal Secretary IT Azmat Ali Ranjha, TIP Acting MD Muddassar Hussain, Member Legal Ameena Sohail and other Board Members were present in the meeting.

On recommendation of the Finance Committee, the Board has accorded the approval of TIP budget. The chairperson (minister) was also informed that as approved in previous board meeting, the formal notification for the appointment of new MD TIP Zia-ul-Haq has been issued.

The Minister directed new TIP management to prepare a complete tangible and implementable revitalisation plan within next three months.

The Minister also directed Secretary IT to take up the matter of all outstanding recoveries with top management of PTCL and NRTC on urgent basis.
