TOKYO: The Chevrolet Corvett is before now a creature in its own right. But then again, its horsepower and torque figures do light a small piece to special variants of competing muscle cars. New Corvette Z06 tuner has surpass both Hellcat variants decisively
The Dodge Challenger and Charger SRT Hellcats immediately come to mind. But a new Corvette Z06 tuner has trumped both Hellcat variants decisively, with its supercharger allowing it to make 743 horsepower and 797 lb/ft. torque.
ouston’s Late Model Racecraft is the company behind the tweaks, and according to Late Model, it is the first aftermarket tuner to push the Corvette’s real-world horsepower past the 700 hp mark. On a new YouTube video, LMR is shown testing the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 on a dynamometer, and in here, the dyno clearly reads 743 horsepower; in other words, a low driveline loss may propel this car’s engine to as much as 820 horsepower or so. Unfortunately, LMR didn’t specify what’s included in its custom Stage II kit for the Z06.
Also worth mentioning is how LMR seemingly doesn’t have any kits available for the Corvette C7 or the Z06 itself on its website. But when the company does release a kit for the general public, that should offer a tantalizing preview of the Z06’s full potential as a customized, tuned vehicle.
