NEW YORK: National Highway traffic safety administration has rewarded 5 stars to Ford Expedition.
The 2015 Expedition 4×2 received five stars in the front and side crash tests and three stars in the rollover crash test, while the 2015 Expedition 4×4 received five stars in the front and side crash tests and four stars in the rollover crash test.
Standard safety equipment on the 2015 Expedition includes a rearview camera, AdvanceTrac with roll stability control and six airbags. A new blind spot information system with cross-traffic alert is optional.
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has not rated the 2015 Expedition.
Key Expedition rivals include the Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon XL, Nissan Armada and Toyota Sequoia.
Edmunds says: Car shoppers should note that the 2015 Chevrolet Suburban and GMC Yukon XL earned a four-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The 2015 Nissan Armada and the 2015 Toyota Sequoia have not been rated by NHTSA.
