2019 Taipei 5G Summit opens May 30

TAIPEI: The 2019 Taipei 5G Summit will take place at the Taipei International Convention Center (TICC) May 30, bringing together experts from around the world to share their insights on the development of 5G technologies, and providing a platform for businesses to network.

In cooperation with COMPUTEX 2019, the theme of the summit is “Readiness for 5G – Technology, Service and Policy.” The event will focus on vertical markets, spectrum planning, establishing platforms, innovative services, and the latest trends related to 5G advancement, according to the organizers.

Over 300 representatives hailing from government, academia, and industry will attend the sixth edition of the event, including speakers from Germany, the U.S., the U.K., and Japan.

High-ranking figures from Intel, Supermicro, Reliance Jio, Qualcomm, Asia Pacific Telecom, Japan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, and the Office of Communications of the U.K. are among the participants, reports the Central News Agency.

An exhibition showcasing related technologies will occur alongside the summit. Companies to be featured include Intel, FarEasTone Telecommunications, Keysight, Quanta Computer, MediaTek, Nokia, Viavi Solutions, Rohde & Schwarz, and Ericsson, wrote the report.
