HELSINKI: The Finnish commercial broadcasting company MTV News said that the finish Customs police drug unit is faced with new breach of office suspicions. According to MTV, three Customs police officers from the drug unit were interrogated this week.
“Breach of office offences will be investigated and a few people have been interrogated on suspicions. Now it is to be determined whether the drug unit acted properly during the interrogation procedures,” lead investigator Jukka Haavisto told MTV.
The suspects are not related to Jari Aarnio, the detained former boss of Helsinki police drug unit. However, Haavisto was not able to fully disclose the nature of suspicions as the investigations is still in its initial stage.
According to MTV, the suspicion is based on the allegation that the police would have given incentives for information received.
