NEW DELHI: WhatsApp has been expanding by leaps and bounds across the world. In India its expansion is faster than many other nations. It has more than 100 million users and more than 70 million are active users who share messages, pictures, videos and other info with their friends on a daily basis. There are many others who use it constantly throughout the day.

But while the messaging app is expanding super fast, it was resisting the demand to launch the free voice call app. For more than a year people have been asking the company to do what Viber did sometimes ago by coming out with voice call features, but WhatsApp refused to hear the popular demand.

Officially, the new voice calling feature of the messaging app is still being tested.

The company has more than 700 million users across the country and it is investing heavily in India where it wants to see a massive surge in its users with the ever rising smartphone base.
