TOKYO: A new menu theme for the Nintendo 3DS was released in Japan, and it is based on “Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate,” the newest installment of the hit action role-playing video game that will be launched in North America and Europe this month.

The “Monster Hunter” series is one of the most popular role-playing games in Japan, but it is slowly growing in popularity in the U.S. With the release of the updated version in the Japanese market that was launched last year, American players will finally see the latest edition of the game when “Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate” is released this month.

To get the attention of U.S.-based players, Nintendo released the demo codes for the game just like what the company did for “Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.”

The “Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate” demo offers three different quests that players can test. These quests can be played on single-player or multi-player mode, either online or through local play. Also, each quest is divided into three levels, namely the Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced levels that should be played in succession. It means that the higher levels will not be accessed if the lower level has not been completed, to make sure that players can explore all contents of the game.

Attack of the Fanboy also mentioned that there are 14 weapons to choose from in the “Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate” demo, including a Sword and Shield, a Gunlance, Bow, Hammer, as well as other weapons.

“Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate” is the updated version of “Monster Hunter 4,” which includes some notable features that are not included in the original release.

While the demo version of the game is still ongoing, the anticipated release date of the full “Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate” for Nintendo 3DS is set on Feb. 13, alongside the release of the New 3DS console.
