LAHORE: Pakistan Railways has signed a pact with the NESPAK in order to upgrade the facilities of Railway Stations in the country.
In the first phase, five railway stations will be upgraded regarding their outlook and facilities. These include Sahiwal, Okara, Nankaana Sahab, Narowal and Hassan Abdaal Railway Stations in the first phase. A PC-1 in this regard is already in the process. Pakistan Railways will form a Project Management Unit (PMU) to monitor and facilitate the working of this agreement and its constituents. This unit will include management and engineering professionals.
In the presence of Federal Minister Raiwlays Khawaja Saad Rafique, GM Operations Javed Anwar signed the agreement while MD NESPAK Amjad Khan was the signatory from the NESPAK’s side.
