Collector Appraisement-East to take legal action against delinquent officials

KARACHI: The Collector of Model Customs Collectorate MCC Appraisement-East Najeeb ur Rehman Abbasi has decided to take legal action against officials of involved in mal-practicing and damaging the national exchequer just for their vested interest.

Reliable sources informed Customs Today that the Collector Najeeb-ur-Rehman Abbasi was reacting to the information provided by the officials of the Collectorate regarding the continues misappropriations in Research and Development (R&D) Section in MCC Appraisement-East. The sources further disclosed that the Collector MCC Appraisement-East has directed the authorities concerns to submit a list of those officials , so that legal action could be taken against them.

Officials up to Grade-16 have already written a letter to Member Customs-FBR Nisar Muhammad Ali  Khan against the ongoing mal-practicing in MCC Appraisement-East. However; the Member Customs has not yet replied.

“In the meantime, the initiative taken by the Collector MCC Appraisement towards the said development would certainly proof beneficial for saving the leaking revenue”, sources added.

It is pertinent to mention here that the officials up to Grade-16 are already annoyed and disappointed by the working of their high-ups and want legal action against those by the top authorities of Federal Board of Revenue.

The sources further informed that the Collector MCC Appraisement-East Najeeb ur Rehman is going to retire from his post in the current year and before his retirement he wants to take cohesive actions against the corrupt officials and officers of the Collectorate.
