KUWAIT CITY: Kuwaiti police have arrested five smugglers and seized drugs and weapon, officials said here the other day.
The suspects were caught after intensive surveillance of places where they sold drugs. Police finally saw five men riding in a car and when they saw the police vehicle, the man behind the wheel panicked and tried to change direction.
Police order the man to pull over and during inspection police found three Kuwaitis who had already been sentenced in absentia, a bedoun and an expatriate who was staying in the country illegally for three years. Police also found in the car a quantity of heroin and a gun. They have been handed over to the concerned authorities.
