Excise seizes documents of 550 defaulter vehicles in four days

LAHORE: Punjab Excise and Taxation Department has started a campaign on daily basis in Lahore and other parts of the province against the owners of vehicles who have failed to pay token tax.

The department has arranged special teams to check vehicles that have not deposited token tax, especially vehicles which are not registered. Director Lahore Motor Branch Sohail Arshad has formed special teams to check defaulter vehicles on roads.

Excise Motor Branch Lahore has seized documents of 550 defaulter vehicles in different areas on special checkpoints of Excise. Various people after seizure of documents and national identity cards paid taxes and got their documents back.

Excise teams seized documents during checking vehicles at Match Factory Chungi GT Road, Jail road, Ferozpur road, Model Town, Multan Road, Raiwand Road, Ravi road, Faisal Town and Shahdra toll plaza.
