Islamabad—Federal Minister for Planning and Development Chaudhry Ahsan Iqbal rejected all rumors regarding any change in route of Pakistan-China economic corridor, and said the implementation of N-85 and M-8 projects would be made to connect the Gawadar through land route.

The Chinese government in a groundbreaking agreement last November had committed to invest over $45 billion in China-Pak Economic Corridor (CPEC) which will connect Gwadar with Chinese city of Kashgar in the Xinjiang autonomous region, through highways, rail link and oil-gas pipelines.
