Customs Dept bids farewell to Shafaqat Mehmood

LAHORE: The customs officers and Customs Healthcare Society have bidden farewell to Shafqat Mehmood on his retirement from the Customs Group of the Federal Board of Revenue, at a local hotel.

A large number of Customs officers including Chief Collector of Customs Central Region Rozi Khan Burki, Collector of Appraisement Lahore Muhammad Zahid Khokhar, Collector of Preventive Lahore Mukarram Jah Ansari, Collector of Appeals Dr Asif Mehmood Jah, who is also President of Customs Healthcare Society, Director of Investigation and Intelligence Customs Lahore Imtiaz Ahmad Khan, Post Clearance Audit (PCA) Director Imran Saud, Fazal Yazdani Khan, PAC Additional Director Munib Sarwar, Additional Director Customs Intelligence and Investigation Mohsin Rafique  and others were present on the occasion.

The customs officers lauded the contribution of Shafqat Mehmood, who served various top slots in the department, for the development and growth of the department.

Shafaqat Mehmood, on the other hand, thanked all the Customs officers especially to Asif Mahmood Jah for arranging the evening and managing presence of almost all Customs officers posted at Lahore.

Shafaqat Mehmood was retired from government service on January 31, 2015.

Shafqat had been working as Inland Revenue RTO Lahore Chief Commissioner before getting the post of DG automation.
