Envoy invites Pakistani businessmen to explore trade opportunities in Tajikistan

SIALKOT:  Sherali S. Jononov, the ambassador of Tajikistan to Pakistan, has invited the local business community to invest in Tajikistan and explore new avenues of international trade in his country.

He stated this while addressing an important meeting of exporters held at Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI).

SCCI Acting President Mir Alamgir Meyer, VP Malik Naseer Ahmed, Chairman Pakistan Gloves Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PGMEA) Muhammad Younas, Mian Mohsin Gull, Muhammad Waqas Akram and others were also present on this occasion.

Tajik envoy added that the Tajikistan was intending to develop the strengthened bilateral trade ties with Pakistan, besides, stressing the need of making all out sincere efforts, in this regard.

He narrated that exporters could have very good opportunities to develop their trade business in Tajikistan and in other Russian States trough Tajikistan.

Tajikistan Ambassador also vowed to develop the strong business-to-business links between the businessmen of Tajikistan and Pakistan, saying that this step would also help to explore the mutual trade potential between the two countries.

He also offered the hurdle free trade and export access to Tajikistan, saying that there were bright opportunities of starting joint ventures between the Tajik and Pakistan companies in different trade fields and several Tajik companies were showing keen interest, in this regard.

On this occasion, while presenting his address of welcome, the Acting President of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) Mir Alamgir Meyer said that both sides of Pakistan and Tajikistan at government and private levels need to ponder over and take meaningful measures to improve mutual trade.

Acting SCCI President added that for improving trade it was important to undertake activities like exchange of mutual trade delegations and organizing exhibitions as the role of diplomatic mission in both countries was also important to exchange trade related information.
