LAHORE – The Korea Electric Power Company (c) and the National Transmission and Despatch Company Limited (NTDC) have entered into a consultancy contract for designing, engineering and construction supervision of 500KV Dasu-Islamabad transmission line.
The responsibility of the NTDC is to construct 500KV D/C transmission line from Dasu Hydropower Project to Islamabad via Mansehra for evacuation of 2,160MW Power at first stage.
During a ceremony held here, KEPCO Vice President Jae-Han Go and NTDC Chief Engineer Mahmood Ahmad signed the contract.
General Manager (GSC) Abdur Razzaq Cheema on the occasion said that Wapda had identified 26 potential Hydropower Project sites in northern areas. Dasu Hydro Power Project is one of the identified site on Run-of-River Indus with total capacity of 4320MW. The project is to be developed in two stages each of 2,160MW.
