Kepco-NTDC deal to build 500KV D/C transmission line for 2,160MW power, 26 project sites identified

LAHORE – The Korea Electric Power Company (KEPCO) and the National Transmission and Despatch Company Limited (NTDC) entered into a consultancy contract for designing, engineering and construction supervision of 500KV Dasu-Islamabad transmission line.

The responsibility of the NTDC is to construct 500KV D/C transmission line from Dasu Hydropower Project to Islamabad via Mansehra for evacuation of 2,160MW Power at first stage.

Dasu Hydro Power Project is one of the identified site on Run-of-River Indus with total capacity of 4320MW. The project is to be developed in two stages each of 2,160MW.
