KUWAIT CITY: Kuwait Security operatives attached to Hawalli Command seized a large quantity of illicit pills and a wrap of hashish inside a car after engaging the motorist in a hot chase at Nugra.
The officers were on routine patrol when they saw the driver of a blue pick-up van driving in a reckless manner and ordered him to pull up. To their surprise, he defied orders and fled the scene immediately. The officers pursued him, and in the process, the patrol car was hit several times.
They requested for reinforcement until they caught up with the suspect at Ishbiliya. He is said to have taken to his heels after parking the car, and the officers conducted a search and found illicit items and the suspect’s civil ID card. They have since verified his identity and detectives are trailing him.
