16-inch diameter pipeline blown up in Kandhkot: 21MMCFD gas shortage reported

Kandhkot—Unknown terrorists blew up 16-inch diameter gas pipeline in Kandhkot. Confirming the incident, police said that it occurred in Ghora Ghat of Kacha area. The adjacent areas of Kandhkot were deprived of gas after the pipeline was blown up.

Meanwhile, the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) was faced with a shortage of 21MMCFD of gas in the system after miscreants blew up a main pipeline of 24-inch diameter in Dera Bugti, thus the supply to Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been disrupted.

SNGPL MD Arif Hameed said, “Although the system is facing 21MMCFD gas shortage due to pipeline blast by terrorists in Dera Bugti on Tuesday, it has left no impact on gas supply to domestic consumers.” He said the situation would be normal in the next two days.
