TOKYO: Mitsubishi has announced the all-new 2015 Triton pickup will roll out at Geneva Motor Show in the next month. Known in many markets as the L200, the new Triton was first revealed in Thailand late last year, after early leaked images gave buyers a first look.
Mitsubishi promises a more refined ride and improved safety technologies with its new pickup, and an all-new ‘4N15’ 2.4 litre diesel engine will also be on-board.
A six-speed auto and new six-speed manual will also be available, along with a faster steering setup for a more car-like drive.
Styling changes see the new Triton evolve the look of its predecessor, maintaining the now familiar rounded snout and curved shape to the cab rear.
The new Triton will be built in Thailand, with export programs planned for Australia, Asia, the Middle East, Europe, Africa and Latin America.
An Australian launch is expected to happen around the middle of 2015.
