Users of Candy Crush Saga spent $1.3b on extra lives, colour bombs, lollipop hammers, gold bars etc in 2014

TOKYO: Users of Candy Crush Saga spent $1.3 billion on the game in the year 2014. The money was spent on in game purchases. Most of these purchases were apparently on extra lives, colour bombs, lollipop hammers, gold bars etc.

The game Candy Crush Saga was launched in the June of 2013 by King Digital Entertainment. Presently, it is in the third spot when it comes to highest grossing apps on Apple’s App Store. The game accounts for 45 percent of the total revenue of the company in the last quarter of 2014. This has been stated in a report by The Guardian.
