WELLINGTON: NZ Customs Minister Nicky Wagner has said that our customs played a vital role in stopping drug trafficking. She also said that Kiwi Customs staff has played a part in busting an international drug ring.
New Zealand Customs intercepted drugs sent by express mail and passed information on to their counterparts in Australia, China and Hong Kong. That led to a seizure of 106kg of methamphetamine and seven arrests after an operation involving Shenzhen Customs, Hong Kong Customs and the Australian Federal Police.
