LAHORE: The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (Smeda) and University of Management & Technology’s (UMT) School of Business & Economics have signed an MoU for carrying out research for the development of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the country.
Smeda Chief Executive Officer Muhammad Alamgir Chaudhry and UMT School of Business and Economics Dean Dr Rukhsana Kaleem signed the agreement on behalf of their organisations.
It was mutually agreed that actionable research undertaken, as part of this collaboration would be advocated across various tiers of economic and SME support institutions including the government, key ministries and international development partners. In this regard, the two organizations would hold joint conferences, symposia and training programs.
