LONDON: Prime Minister David Cameron is to kick off a campaign of a massive cash boost for millions of families under Government’s new income tax break for married couples. The campaign will encourage spouses and civil partners to register for the Marriage Allowance due to become available in April. Eligible households could save up to £212 a year by signing up on the internet to receive the tax relief.

While speaking about tax relief the Prime Minister said, “I made a clear commitment to the British people that I would recognize marriage in the tax system, so I am delighted that we’re just a little over a month away from it coming into effect,” he further added, “We can afford to do it because of the growing strength of the British economy and as result families up and down the country can get a little bit of extra support and more financial security.”
