NEW DELHI: Panasonic has launched its new Toughpad FZ-B2 in India. The tablet’s features are exactly what users would expect it to be. It is durable tablet which is IP65 certified to be water and dust proof. Plus it has got the MIL-STD-810G design which means that the device can persist even when dropped (tested for height 150 cm) and can resist shocks, vibration, high/low temperature, humidity, explosions and thus offers long-lasting durability.
The specs of the tablet is as follows:
It has got a 7 inch multi-touch display of resolution 800×1200 pixels. It has got a 5 point capacitive touch and 500 nit daylight-readable screen. The device runs on a 1.8 GHz quad-core Intel Celeron N2930 processor and has 2 GB RAM. It has got a microSD card slot which can expand its 32 GB internal memory to 64 GB.
It has got a 5 MP rear camera and a 2 MP front camera. Besides the usual connectivity options of Wi-Fi, USB 3.0 and Bluetooth 4.0, the tablet also has support for 4G LTE connection. It has got a 3220 mAh battery and Panasonic says that the tablet can last 8 hours of continuous usage. An optional battery that will last for 14 hours is also available. The device is currently running on Android 4.4 KitKat with no word on when there will be a Lollipop update.
