KARACHI: Shipping activity remained active at Port Qasim where four ships carrying containers, cement and edible oil berthed at Qasim International Containers Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively, port sources said here Monday.
Four more ships carrying containers and chemical also arrived at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 85% at the port on Monday where nine ships namely Hurst Point, MSC Anchorage, Thor Brave, Alam Sayang, Coryus, Biack Pearl, Global Vika, Al Salam II and Donga Pontus are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, coal, rice, LPG Mix, chemical, diesel oil and edible oil respectively during the last 24 hours.
