Customs Court grants bail to accused in alcohol smuggling case

LAHORE: A Special Court of Customs, Taxation and Anti-Smuggling have granted bail of Naeem Saddiqi, allegedly involved in smuggling of alcohol and mobile phones.

Naeem Saddiqi was arrested by Customs officials at Allama Iqbal Airport when he was trying to clear luggage through green channel with the help of a famous person of Governor House Punjab. The Customs Court granted bail to the accused against guarantees.

Naeem Saddiqi was coming from Abu Dhabi and introduced himself before Customs officials as guest of the governor. He was trying to clear his luggage through green channel which is used only by VIPs.
