TOKYO: Dancing All Night of Persona 4 is a new trailer focusing on Rise Kujikawa, one of the main characters from the original Persona 4. In the first game, Rise had been taking a break from her life as an idol and had entered Yasogami High School as a way to get out of the spotlight. In Persona 4: Dancing All Night, Rise has returned to her idol role and has come back to the city in order to look for work.

Atlus has been letting out new tidbits about Persona 4: Dancing All Night almost weekly since it was first given its Japanese release date of June 25 during Atlus’s 30+ hour live stream for all things Persona at the beginning of the month. Characters have been profiled, gameplay mechanics have been detailed, and music has been teased. Persona 4: Dancing All Night takes place half a year after the events of Persona 4 drew to a close. Rise Kujikawa, returned to Inaba for idol business, winds up on the ‘other side’ after seeing a mysterious movie clip on a certain website at midnight. Her junior idols are also missing, and she desperately sends for help from the old Investigation Team.

Persona 4: Dancing All Night will play essentially as a rhythm game where characters have to defeat Shadows through dancing. Players have to tap the buttons as they appear on the screen, trying to build up combos that trigger special scenes. The game has duets as well as solo dances. The music will be mostly remixed tracks from the original Persona 4. Outside the story, there is also a Free Dance mode where players can unlock even more songs; songs and costumes will also be available through DLC. There is currently no release date for a localization of the PS Vita game.
