WASHINGTON: Microsoft has planned to launch devices with at least 1GB RAM as the company recently announced that all its Windows Phone 8 smartphones would get latest Windows 10 update. While Windows Phone users are waiting for latest Windows OS, Microsoft may launch a smartphone Lumia 640 with 1GB RAM.
A report has arrived that claims Microsoft has manufactured a “refreshed” version of Lumia 635 but with 1GB RAM. Telenor has given hints about the model pronounced as Lumia 635 1GB that Microsoft might launch in few markets. No specific information is available about the markets where it would be made available as of now as hence customers need to wait till the time company announces the product. Interestingly, Microsoft has updated the specifications page of Lumia 635. One may note that RAM field indicates availability of 512MB or 1GB. This clearly points that the launch of 1GB model might be on cards in few countries.
Microsoft Lumia 640 would be powered by 1.2GHz quad core Snapdragon 400 processor with Adreno 305 GPU. It would offer 8GB on-board storage expandable up-to 128GB via microSD slot support. It would feature the 4.5 inch WVGA screen with resolution of 480 x 854 same as that of Lumia 635 with pixel density of 221dpi. There would be a 5MP rear camera without a flash and battery of 1830mAh to power the smartphone. Reportedly, Lumia 640 is expected to be available at the same price as that of Lumia 635.
