NEW YORK: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is scheduled for release on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on May 19, 2015.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, looks absolutely gorgeous from what we have seen so far. The developer recently said that one of the reasons the game has been delayed is that the team wants to optimize it to achieve “the best performance.” In an interview with GamingBolt, Senior Art Producer Michał Krzemiński has said that framerate and resolution are not primary concerns when making an RPG with the intention of leaving a lasting impression.

When you have a vision to create an RPG that will leave a long lasting impression, you don’t think in terms of resolution or frame rate. You think of adventure, you think of living worlds, and the stuff you’ll be able to do in that world. Technical aspects are kind of secondary, which of course doesn’t mean that we don’t want the graphics to be awesome.

The Witcher 3 will run at 1080p/30fps on the PlayStation 4. PSLS’ Dan recently got his hands on a preview build of the game, and noted that it not only looked beautiful, but ran smoothly for the most part as well.
