Ahmad Textile was allowed to import goods of polyester staple fiber of approved quantity 500,000 kg under Pakistan Customs Tariff (PCT) Heading 5503.2010. The company was also allowed to export PC Yarn and PC Fabric of approved quantity 630,288kg and 265,000kg, respectively, under PCT Heading 5509.5390 and PCT Heading 5513.1300.

During the scrutiny of DTRE, the customs authorities checked the data and shipping bills of the relevant file which revealed that the user was involved in export of goods other than the ones approved under the DTRE.

Ahmad Fine Textile Mills has misused the approval of DTRE by exporting non-permitted goods using the name of goods approved by the customs authority. By this way the company has evaded tax.

The case has been sent to the Customs Adjudications for the further investigation.
