Kenyan revenue authority rolls out mobile payment policy

NAIROBI: The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has rolled out its m-service, a mobile payment and enquiry platform through which taxpayers can enquire about or make mobile payments of all their taxes up to KES 70,000.

The KRA said a publicity campaign regarding the m-service is currently going on in major towns and cities. Taxpayers can access the KRA m-service platform by dialling star 572 hash on their mobile phones, to make enquiries or payments. Taxpayers wishing to make tax payments are required to generate an e-slip and use details to make payments.
