PESHAWAR: Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chairman Sikandar Hayat Sherpao has lashed out at the provincial government for its failure to fulfil commitments about the development and eradication of corruption.

In a statement, the QWP leader urged the government to expedite the utilisation of development funds allocated under the Annual Development Programme to facilitate people of the province.

“Most of the departments have used a meagre amount of money so the funds would lapse if development work was not carried out,” he maintained.

Sherpao said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led provincial government had failed to deliver on its pledges. “The working of even a single department couldn’t be improved in the last almost two years,” he claimed.

He said that the PTI hoodwinked masses with catchy slogans and they had also realised the actual position. He said that the provincial government could not give any relief to the people let alone launching any big development project.
