ISLAMABAD:The Ambassador of Argentina to Pakistan, Rodulfo Martin Saravia, showed his interest to invest in the sector of information technology(IT).
Saravia said that the IT sector in Pakistan has become a gainful market for foreign investors, during a meeting with Minister of State for Information Technology Anusha Rahman, Radio Pakistan reported.
Rahman informed Saravia of the successful venture of 3G/4G auction boosting the confidence of the foreign investors.
On February 5, a parliamentary panel formed a four member sub-committee to review, amend and finalise the draft of a new cybercrime bill. The National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Information Technology tasked the sub-committee to complete its review of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Bill of Pakistan 2015 within two weeks.
A draft of the bill was presented to the Standing Committee for approval, under the chairmanship of Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Safdar.
