Sialkot: FIA detects illegal gateway, arrests three

SIALKOT: As part of its drive against grey trafficking, a special team of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) detected an illegal gateway in Sialkot’s congested Christian Colony locality and arrested three accused – Imtiaz, Zaheer and Faraz – for running this illegal telephone exchange.

FIA Gujranwala Deputy Director Sikandar Hayyat Malik said that the agency has also seized as many as 40 mobile phones, 20 laptops, 200 SIMs of different cellular companies, a large number of calling cards, 5 LCDs, two routers and a vehicle bearing a green number plate from the custody of the accused.

He said that the accused had been running this illegal gateway for a long time. He said that stern legal action will be taken against the accused under the National Action Plan (NAP).
