The sources disclosed that the Director General Directorate General of Customs Intelligence & Investigation Lutfullah Virk and Director Customs Intelligence-FBR regional office Karachi Asif Margoob Siddiqui were not on the same page regarding the policies of the directorate general which is affecting the performance of the organization.

“The transfers and postings of the officials are being continued on the basis of nepotism, adding that the top authorities of the directorate general are also suspending the officials, who are either close to the Director General (DG) or Director”, sources added.

The sources further revealed that the officials working in the Directorate General of Customs Intelligence & Investigation-FBR Karachi are reluctant to follow the commands of their higher authorities, as they are frightened of the comfort and discomfort of their high-ups.

“The officials are not in the comfort zone during the ongoing rift between those two high-ups of the directorate, they are extra attentive in order to avoid becoming a part of this cold-war between those top officials of FBR”, sources added.
