NEW YORK: Natural Resources Defense Council has said in a federal lawsuit that herbicides are widely used and the Environmental Protection Agency has ignored the dangers produced from these herbicides as it resulted in the demise of the monarch butterfly population in the United States.
According to report, the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) has sued the EPA in US District Court in New York.
The migrating monarchs rely on the milkweed habitat and the use of glyphosate in the farm fields leads to its destruction.
