Flipkart India sells Galaxy S5 for Rs 28,999, Xperia Z2 for Rs 29,900, HTC One M8 for Rs 37,885

NEW DELHI: Flipkart India has slashed the prices of Samsung Galaxy S6, Sony Xperia Z2 and HTC One M8. Now u can get Samsung Galaxy S5, Sony Xperia Z2 and HTC One M8 for Rs 28,999, Rs 29,900 and for Rs 37,885 respectively.

Flipkart India has slashed the price of all the three flagships in India.

The South Korean manufacturer will launch the update to Galaxy S5 on January 1, while Xperia Z2’s successor has been in the market for nearly six months.

Flipkart is selling the Galaxy S5 for Rs 28,999, while Xperia Z2 can be bought for Rs 29,900. On other e-commerce websites, such as Amazon and Snapdeal, the models are still priced at more than Rs 30,000.

HTC One (M8), which was launched around the same time as the Sony and Samsung smartphones, is curently available at Rs 37,885, down over Rs 10,000 from its launch price of Rs 49,900.

Apple’s iPhone 6 and 6 Plus have also seen their prices drop on Indian e-commerce websites recently.

Samsung Galaxy S5 features a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD resolution and runs on Android 4.4 with TouchWiz UI. It is powered by the 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor with 2GB RAM and sports a 16MP rear camera on the back. It was the first Samsung smartphone to feature the fingerprint scanner and heart rate monitor.

Sony Xperia Z2 features a 5.2-inch Full HD IPS screen and uses a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 chipset with 3GB RAM. It runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) and comes with 16GB internal storage, microSD card support up to 128GB, 3,200mAh battery and stereo speakers. The smartphone has a 20.7MP camera with Exmor R for Mobile sensor, similar to what its predecessor offered.
