KUWAIT CITY: Anti-narcotics officers apprehended an Egyptian expatriate for smuggled illicit drugs, and confiscated 2,000 narcotic pills in his possession here the other day. Security sources said officers from the Drug Control General Department received information about the activities of the Egyptian, and a team of detectives was formed to nail him. Armed with search and arrest warrant from the public prosecution, security operatives raided the suspect’s apartment and recovered 2,000 illicit pills. He confessed peddling in drugs and named his accomplice (second suspect) who’s also an Egyptian. He was found in possession of 10 narcotic pills.
