NEW DELHI: Micromax is finally ready to launch the Canvas Selfie smartphone in the Indian market. The phone was originally announced for the country in early-December and was supposed to arrive in the second-week of January, but that didn’t happen. The Canvas Selfie is now set to be available in the first week of March for INR 15,999 in Blue and White colour options.

Micromax Canvas Selfie sports a 13MP camera on the front with an LED flash. On the back, the company has included the same 13MP shooter along with dual-LED flash. Other specifications of the phone include a 4.7-inch 720p HD display, 2GB of RAM, Android 4.4, and dual-SIM support. In addition, the Canvas Selfie comes with 1.7GHz octa-core processor, 16GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, and 2300 mAh battery.

Given the focus on the front shooter, the phone will be targeted to niche consumer-base, who want a high-res front shooter for selfies, but apart from that camera, there is nothing in the phone to justify the price-tag.
