SYDNEY: GOG.com has launched the 2015 Double Insomnia Promo, which features two simultaneous pools of games: Seasoned classics and Fresh new titles. All sales are offered in limited quantities, and the number of copies remaining is labeled with a huge counter. Only one game from either pool of games can be on sale at one time. But once a game sells out, another will immediately take its place so that two are always available. If you missed your chance, your favorite game will probably be back.

“Once a game sells out, another will immediately take its place so that two are always available. If you missed your chance, fear not but keep your eyes open! Your favorite one will probably be back. Insomnia mercilessly goes on, day and night, until every single unit is gone – like a carousel of deals.”

At the time of writing the two deals are Bad Mojo Redux and Driftmoon, neither of which I have any interest in whatsoever. Thank God. But should Grim Fandango or Neverwinter Nights or, god forbid, Sacrifice, go for a song, I’m going to be in trouble. Even The Incredible Machine Mega Pack would probably get me to pull the trigger.

All deals are being advertised through the GOG front page. GOG are running a 96-hour long livestream to celebrate, which doesn’t seem like a bad idea considering basically everything you’d be buying on GOG is better in singleplayer anyway. Except X-Wing vs TIE Fighter, obviously.
