Multan: Customs seizes container loaded with grocery, garments

MULTAN: Multan Customs Intelligence and Investigation seized a container loaded with grocery and garments items along with vehicle near Sadiqabad.

Customs Intelligence and Investigation seized this container during an operation in the region of Kot Sabzal. The container was loaded on a trailer with registration number JU-4294.

Owner of container Ali Murad Siddique is running a super mart Chase Up in Gulgasht. His container was seized due to differential difference in goods and invoices presented to Customs Intelligence and Investigation.  The total value of seized trailer was almost Rs 4 million and seized goods Rs1 million.

Additional Director Customs Intelligence and Investigations Nisar Ahmad told Customs Today that there was huge difference in loaded items and their invoices.

Customs Intelligence and Investigation lodged an advance information report under section 201,16 of the customs act 1969 with section 3(1)&3(3) of the import and export control.
