TEXAS: The North Dakota Highway Patrol says an Interstate 94 traffic stop resulted in the seizure of 136 pounds of marijuana. Authorities say a trooper stopped the car with Idaho license plates east of Steele.
The trooper’s suspicions led to a search of the vehicle that uncovered the drugs. Authorities arrested the 22- and 33-year-old men in the car.
The Kidder County Sheriff’s Office and a local drug task force helped with the investigation. Bismarck Police say medium grade pot sells for about $400 an ounce. That would put the value of the seizure at about $870,000.
