DUBLIN: Ireland is now the number one destination in the world for US Foreign Direct Investment.
A new report commissioned by the American Chamber of Commerce Ireland shows that 130,000 people are employed by 700 US companies in Ireland.
The output from these companies exceeds $80bn (€72.35bn) a year.
The report also states since 1990 American firms have invested over $277bn (€250.53bn) in Ireland.
