Customs Intelligence DG Lutfullah holds meeting with Lahore Director Imtiaz Ahmad Khan

LAHORE: Customs Investigation and Intelligence Director General Lutfullah Virk paid a visit to the Directorate of I&I Lahore and held a meeting with the officials regarding steps to counter the rising cases of smuggling in the country.

Lutfullah Virk had a meeting with the top officials of the directorate and received a briefing on the current position of anti-smuggling activities and revenue collected by the directorate.

Sources said that the DG also discussed the automation system to trace smugglers and identify them.

Source said that the meeting was attended by I&I Director Imtiaz Ahmad Khan, Additional Director Rizwan Slabat, Additional Director Mohsin Rafique and others.

The sources said that the DG asked Additional Director Rizwan Slabat to look into the automation system’s implementation and progress in this regard.
The DG has become very vibrant and is holding meetings with his subordinate countrywide in order to crack down on smuggling activities.

On the other hand, the DG is also expected to retire in October this year.
