Auction of confiscated items starts at Gaddani Customs House

KARACHI: The Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Gwadar on Monday (today) is going to hold auction of various confiscated items at Customs House, Gaddani.

The items specifically included in auction are impounded old/used vehicles, motorcycles, tires, tubes, motor oil, clothes, soaps, cigarettes, grease, tiles, plastic scrape, PVC pipes, pipe scrapes, iron and others.

The public auction was started at 10.00am this morning at Customs House, Gaddani.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Pakistan Customs is eyeing to hold auction of confiscated goods in order to enhance its revenue status.

The MCC-Appraisement (West) keeping this in view has already increased its revenue generation by Rs18million by holding auctions of different confiscated items. The Collector MCC-Appraisement (West) Muhammad Saleem is determined that the Collectorate will collect revenue income of Rs40million altogether by the end of this month (December) through holding auctions of various impounded items.
