Customs Intelligence, ASO recover electronic goods worth billions of rupees in warehouse raid

LAHORE: Customs Intelligence and investigation, Anti-Smuggling Organization and FBR Inland Revenue conducted a joint raid in order to recover smuggled electronic goods and articles worth millions of rupees on Ferozpur Road near Gajumata Metro Bus Stop.

According to details Customs I&I on some information undertook raids on various godowns of White House Electronics, Centre Electronics and other at the industrial area near Gajumata.

Official sources said that the Customs I&I received information that a large quantity of electronics goods has been stored in gowdowns at the Ferozpur Road.

In order to cope with the retaliation Customs intelligence & Investigation sought the help of Anti-Smuggling Organization of Customs Preventive Lahore and FBR Inland Revenue Investigation and intelligence Wing.

The operation was conducted on Thursday and still under completion.

 Official sources said that it is very high quantity of the smuggled good which required time to ascertain the exact volume in terms of money.

However it may exceed one billion rupees, the sources added, saying that officials of three anti-smuggling wings are present alert on-the-spot.
