SYDNEY: Nissan Altima has been named as one of KBB.com’s 10 Best Sedans Under $25,000. KBB gave several reasons for their choice, including its great fuel economy, extremely comfortable Zero Gravity seating, and the Easy Fill Tire Alert system, which they called “cool.”

The 2015 Altima carries on the redesign that happened in 2013, pushing the Altima forward into a top selling bracket for vehicles nationally. Standard equipment includes a lot of exclusive items like the aforementioned Zero Gravity seating and easy Fill Tire Alert. This is a tire pressure monitoring system that not only alerts the driver when a tire is low, but pinpoints which one and then sounds an alert, blinking the lights, when the tire is refilled to specification.

“With a starting Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price of just $22,300, the 2015 Altima offers a long list of comfort and technology features which make it a customer favourite,” said Dan Mohnke, vice president, Nissan Chief Marketing Manager & Marketing Operations. “We are honoured that the Altima has been chosen for this honour by the experts at Kelley Blue Book.”

Fuel economy, which is important in the small car class, is rated at up to 38 mpg on the highway with the 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder engine (182 horsepower). An optional 3.5-liter V6 is rated at 270 horsepower. Both engines run through a continuously variable transmission (CVT) that has been acclaimed as one of the best in the industry.
