SYDNEY: Astronomers from Australia have captured the rare sight of a star exploding four different times, casting super images of a luminous nature in what continues to excite space scientists all over the world.

Called a supernova, the captured images of the exploding star was made visible because of a cluster of galaxies which magnified and bent the star’s light to provide multiple images. Although this is not the first time such a sight would be seen, such phenomenon is possible when galaxies deflect light in the middle of active black holes, creating an optical effect that provides the multiple images.
