CDA to build 2 underpasses, 1 interchange costing Rs800m, Rs950m

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) will launch three mega projects including underpasses at a cost of Rs 800 million and one interchange of Rs 950 million here to ensure smooth flow of traffic on highway track lying between zero point and Faisal Masjid.

To link the road coming from Sitara Market to the road leading to G-8 Markaz, one underpass will be raised to forge connectivity between Sector G-7 to G-8. The second underpass will connect sector F-7 to sector F-8 with creating linkage of road coming from F-7 Markaz Jinnah Super with the road going to F-8 Markaz.

PC-1 amounting to Rs 800 million has been approved for completion of these two financially heavy weight projects and technical approval of estimated cost is under progress. However, the project of construction of underpass on Khayban-e- Suhrwardi is also to go ahead on the track to construction in order to bring the plan of making this chowk signal free to quick materialization. The cost of this project is estimated at Rs 950 million.
